They have high requirements on forming accuracy and surface quality. 6xxx aluminum alloy like the bending 6061 aluminum has high strength, good plasticity and excellent corrosion resistance. It is the most mainstream aluminum alloy for cars.
6xxx aluminum is generally used in body structural parts such as roof, trunk lid, and door. It can be strengthened by heat treatment. After baking in the paint shop, its strength and dent resistance of the parts can be significantly improved, which is widely used in the production of outer panel.
