Aluminium 5754 Properties

 5754 aluminum sheet, also known as 3.3535 aluminium, is a typical representative product of aluminum-magnesium alloy. Its magnesium alloy is higher than that of 5052 aluminum plate. It is also an ideal material for making tank truck.

5754 aluminum sheet is of medium strength, good corrosion resistance, weldability and easy processing and forming. The finer grains make the deep drilling performance better and the tool wear resistance enhanced. 5754 aluminum plate is one of the most powerful alloys commercially available.

Aluminum 5754 has been applied to the aircraft industry since the the late 1940s and is still widely used in the aviation industry. It is characterized by good plasticity after solution treatment, particularly good heat treatment strengthening effect, high strength below 150 ℃, and particularly good low temperature strength.

Two-stage aging can improve the alloy's ability to resist stress corrosion cracking. The plasticity in the annealed and just-quenched state is slightly lower than 2A12 in the same state. It is slightly better than 7A04.

In recent years, 5754 aluminum has been widely used in the mold industry. Many molds with high strength requirements choose it when the 6061 aluminum plate is not ideal, which can increase the service life of the mold and reduce the cost of the enterprise. It is often used in welding structures, storage tanks, pressure vessels, ship structures and offshore facilities, transportation tanks.
