5083 marine grade aluminium sheet belongs to 5xxx Al-Mg alloy. It is a typical anti-rust aluminum plate with good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability and good cold workability. Its main tempers are O, H12, H14, H16, H18, H19, H22, H24, H26 , H28, H32, H34, H36, H38, H111, H112, H114, H116, H321, etc. The common ones are H112, H116 and H321. It is widely used in the production of the tank body, automobile fuel tanks, bus body panel, ship building,etc.
The H temper is a common temper of the finished aluminum sheet, which means that the aluminum sheet has undergone work hardening treatment to increase the strength. The H temper is a state with many subdivisions. Aluminum plates of the same specification and the same alloy also has different performances with different tempers.
Aluminum 5083 H111 is the aluminum plate with a magnesium content over 4.0%. It has the required mechanical properties and spalling corrosion resistance. Its tensile strength (MPa) is higher than 305 Mpa, conditional yield strength(Mpa) is over 215MPa, elongation 10(%) is larger than 20 and elongation (5%) is higher than 12.
Aluminum 5083 H321 refers to a processing method in which 5083 aluminum sheet is hardened and subjected to low temperature heat treatment, or directly heated during processing, so as to obtain stable mechanical properties. Its tensile strength (250℃) is 275-350, yield strength is 210, harness is 65 and elongation is 16. It is not difficult to find that the 5083 h321 aluminum plate has high strength and excellent welding performance.
More importantly, 5083-h321 aluminum has excellent corrosion performance than the 5052 aluminum sheet. Even in rivers and seas, 5052 aluminum plates are easily corroded. Therefore, 5083-h321 aluminum plate is widely used in the deck of yachts, grain ships, fishing boats, work boats, sand ships and other ships, as well as components such as engine pedestals, ship sides, and outer plate of the ship bottom.
